Wheels Up! The COBA Bus Hits The Road!
There’s a new ride rolling through Connecticut — and it’s not just any van. It’s the COBA Bus, a fully loaded Sprinter Van dedicated to transporting youth to brighter futures. This bus is more than just a vehicle — it’s a symbol of access, opportunity, and movement. When you see it on the road, just know that something powerful is happening.
Through the continued partnership between Charter Oak Boxing Academy (COBA) and Elite Tertiary Education Consulting (ETEC), the COBA Bus is now an official part of the mission — driving students to events that expose them to careers, colleges, culture, and community. From college tours to conventions, every mile matters.
Where Has the COBA Bus Been?
Over the past year, this rolling classroom on wheels has taken COBA students to life-changing events across the state (and beyond), including:
🚐 Yard Goats Vocational Program (twice!)
🚐 Black Men in White Coats Convention
🚐 Joe Young Productions Studio Visit
🚐 HBCU College Fair, Football Classic & CT Boxing Hall of Fame Visit
🚐 Juneteenth and Negro Baseball League Tribute with the Yard Goats
🚐 Statewide College Tours & On-Campus Visits
And this April, the wheels keep turning — with a major Spring College Tour planned, taking students across multiple campuses to inspire their post-secondary dreams.
Whether it's pulling up to a stadium, campus, or convention center, the COBA Bus is delivering more than passengers — it's delivering potential.
So next time you see the COBA Bus cruising through your neighborhood, honk your horn, give a wave, and remember: we’re transporting the future.
