COBA HBCU College Tour 2025 – A Journey Toward Possibility

Wheels up, dreams on deck. This April, the COBA Bus is hitting the highway for a powerful week of inspiration, discovery, and empowerment. From April 14th to April 18th, 2025, students from Charter Oak Boxing Academy (COBA), with support from Elite Tertiary Education Consulting (ETEC), will embark on the COBA HBCU College Tour — a life-changing journey through some of the most impactful institutions in the country.

This year's tour features visits to:

  • Delaware State University

  • Morgan State University

  • Coppin State University

  • University of the District of Columbia

  • Howard University

  • Virginia State University - Breakfast

But it’s more than a campus walk. It’s a cultural immersion — a reminder of heritage, pride, and potential. Students will also experience iconic locations like:

  • The National Museum of African American History and Culture

  • The Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial

  • The National Air & Space Museum

  • The Smithsonian National Mall

  • The National Aquarium

  • The National Zoo Park

  • The Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History & Culture

  • And a special Jackie Robinson Day celebration with the Baltimore Orioles

“This tour is about opening minds and hearts,” said Pamela Floyd-Cranford, COBA’s Director of Higher Learning. “We want our youth to see themselves in these spaces — on these campuses, in these museums, in these careers.”

Every stop is designed to expand students’ worldview and fuel their post-secondary planning. Whether they envision college, vocational programs, or leadership roles in their communities, this experience shows them that the future is not just something to dream about — it’s something they can reach.

As always, if you see the COBA Bus on the road, wave and honk! We’re moving toward greatness — one mile, one memory, and one moment at a time.
