COBA Kids Shine at Hartford Yard Goats Career Fair with Support from ETEC
In an exciting moment for the youth of Connecticut, ETEC (Elite Tertiary Education Consulting LLC) teamed up with COBA (Charter Oak Boxing Academy) to provide a one-of-a-kind experience for the COBA Kids — a group of motivated high school students — at the Hartford Yard Goats Career Fair.
This collaboration was started as ETEC designed a vocational program between COBA and the Yard Goats. The event offered the COBA Kids firsthand exposure to local career pathways and professional networking, all while experiencing the vibrant energy of Dunkin’ Park, home of the Yard Goats. The event was even featured by NBC Connecticut, highlighting the importance of community-driven partnerships that uplift and empower the next generation.

With ETEC’s mission rooted in preparing young people for success beyond the classroom, this career fair was more than just a field trip — it was a door-opener. From connecting with employers to gaining insights on career readiness, our youth left inspired and informed.
“Bringing our students into environments where they can see what’s possible is what we’re all about,” said Pamela Floyd-Cranford, the Owner of ETEC and COBA’s Director of Higher Learning. “It’s not just about jobs — it’s about building confidence, vision, and community.”
The partnership between ETEC and COBA continues to grow, driven by a shared commitment to uplifting underserved communities through mentorship, access, and opportunity. Whether it’s college prep, vocational training, or professional development events like this, the goal remains the same: equip our youth with the tools they need to thrive.
Stay tuned — this is just the beginning.
