Education on a Roll: COBA and ETEC Announce April 2026 HBCU College Tour
Charter Oak Boxing Academy, in partnership with Elite Tertiary Education Consulting, is proud to announce a Save the Date for the COBA and ETEC April 2026 HBCU College Tour, taking place April 13 through April 17, 2026. This immersive, multi day experience is designed to expose students to Historically Black Colleges and Universities while blending academic exploration, cultural enrichment, and real world learning.
Event Details
Throughout the week, COBA students will travel through Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia to tour a powerful lineup of HBCU campuses, connect with admissions environments, and experience college life firsthand. The tour will include guided and self guided visits to:
Coppin State University
Morgan State University
University of the District of Columbia
Howard University
Virginia Union University
Hampton University
Virginia State University
Norfolk State University.
Each day of the tour has been intentionally structured to combine campus exposure with meaningful cultural experiences. Students will visit nationally significant landmarks including the Smithsonian museums, the National Mall, the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial and Reflecting Pool, the National Air and Space Museum, the National Zoo, and the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History and Culture. A Baltimore Orioles baseball game is also included, adding a moment of recreation and shared memory making.
Students will travel together, stay in hotels in Baltimore and Richmond, and participate in daily meals, reflection, and group discussions. Transportation, lodging, and a full itinerary ensure students remain focused, supported, and engaged throughout the experience.

This tour builds on the success of prior COBA college tours and continues the organization’s commitment to helping students see themselves on college campuses and in spaces of leadership, history, and possibility. Education on a roll is more than a slogan. It is a statement of movement, purpose, and belief in the future of COBA youth.
